Give credit to creators - Vairamuthu

Narayana Das is producing Adaikalam for Kaladas Creations. Thyagarajan and Prashant do the father-son roles. The film's directed by R Bhuvanaraja. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu and music by Sabesh-Murali.

The release of Adaikalam trailer took place yesterday. Director Bhuvanaraja welcomed the gathering. Vairamuthu spoke rather poetically about the quality of lyrics nowadays and the plight of today's creators.

"Till the final hours, the attachment to the umbilical cord remains. The beauty of this relationship is depicted in Adaikalam. Art should teach people to love our fellow human beings. I am sure this film will do that.

Nowadays, the names of the lyricists and composers are not announced on radio. We take so much trouble to create a song. So please do not forget to give credit to the creators. Songs nowadays do not get the correct reception. In Shahjahan, I wrote melodious songs including "melliname melliname." However, the song that became a hit was the kuthu song "sarakku vachirukken irakki vachirukken." The fragrance of the jasmine is lost in the swamp. This situation has to change."
