Karthik Raja mixes fathers hits

The most popular of Ilayaraja's songs have been chosen, and sung by Kamal, Shreya Ghosal, Karthik, Sujatha and Vijay Jesudoss. The songs have been remixed by Karthikraja in such a way that it will appeal to the present young generation. It includes "ninaivo oru paravai" sung by Kamal in Sigappu Rojakkal. Kamal has sung the re-mix version too.

"Maaman machchaan" (Murattu Kalai), "kaalai nera kaatre" (Bhagavatipuram Railway Gate), "kodaikaala kaatre" (Paneer Pushpangal), "thulli ezhundhadhu..." (Geethanjali), 'varam thandha saamikku" (Sippikkul Muthu), "manjal nilaavukku" (Mudhal Iravu) are some of the chosen songs.

The release took place last evening at Park Sheraton, Chennai. Karthikraja introduced the songs. "I was impressed with the idea of remixing the tunes for mobile phones. So I agreed. I am also happy that in a way I am responsible for bringing tunes by my father to the present generation," said Karthik.
