Making movies about forest natives do cover up anti Indian cultural statements or so it seems with movies Vairavan and Laya. In the two movies, views that ok unaccepted Indian culture dress codes and sexual habits have been expressed. The same production house, Roshan Films, is responsible for both movies production. The hero of Laya is Ganesh who was played the lead role in 'Amirtham' and Karishma, the heroine of the movie played the lead female role in 'Vairavan'. Her competition in the film is Bharathi. The other credits of Laya include Nizhalgal Ravi, Kaadhal Dandapani, Ganja Karuppu, Banuchander, Muthukaalai, Crane Manohar, Balu Anand, Chaplin Balu, Pallavi, Sharmili and Sathyapriya among others. Despite all these people being around, Karishma is expected to act out scenes that send across a message that these obscenities are accepted in the Indian Society. This is an outrage her and the film being an Indian film representative of India. But all is well as long as their plot is not uncovered by the Censor Board.
