<i>Pachakili Muthucharam</i> press meet

Gautham Menon's press meet for his next Sarathkumar-Andrea-Jyotika starrer Pachakili Muthucharam (formerly known as Silandhi) was held last night (October 10, 2006) at the Rain Tree hotel in Chennai.

Gautham Menon, Sarathkumar R. and cinematographer Arvind Krishna were present to greet the media and talk about the movie. Andrea Jeremiah, theatre actress from Chennai and a first-timer in Kollywood, came in some time later.

Gautham and Sarathkumar spoke about the movie and their hopes for it and showed the media a trailer from the movie, as well as playing a beautiful song. Harris Jayaraj was expected but could not make it to the press meet.

The music of Pachakili Muthucharam seems to be typical Harris - sometimes lilting, sometimes catchy. The Gautham-Harris brand is unmistakable.

As already reported, the story starts off as a family drama and moves on to a thriller mode - the story of a man who makes a mistake in life and the consequences he has to then face.

Jyotika's role in the movie is a big mystery, perhaps one which will create enough hype to drive people to the cinema halls to see what Gautham's favourite "mascot" is like in this film.
