<i>Paruthiveeran</i> audio release

Ameer is producing and directing Paruthiveran. Surya's younger brother Karthi makes his film debut as hero of this film. Yuvanshankar Raja is the music composer. The audio release took place last evening at Chennai's Green Park hotel.

Karthi's mother, sister, elder brother Surya and his wife Jyotika were all present, only dad Sivakumar was missing. Each song was introduced by a VIP. Each song had a unique quality. With a pallavi and a small charanam, the songs were compact. As each song was heard and seen, one could almost have been in the beautiful village. This is a victory for Ameer and cinematographer Ramji.

For the first time, Yuvanshankar Raja has used real village sounds in his music. Lyrics are by Snehan. Vijay released the audio and it was accepted by director Selvaraghavan.

Seeing his brother's acting in the trailer and the songs, Surya was all praise for him.

"I'm very happy that my brother's very first film is so good. I am proud that he has acted well too." Others who spoke also lauded Karthi's acting.

"Seeing 'Paruthiveeran's songs is like watching a Bharatiraja film," said Vijay and Ameer beamed in delight.

Jayam Ravi, Jeeva, Sonu, Ramesh, Yuvanshankar Raja, poet Snehan were all present at the function. But heroine Priya Mani was not to be seen!
