Chennai Actor Prithviraj might be the son of well known yesteryear hero Sukumaran. But his late father's name and fame did not help him at all. He did have teething problems at the beginning of his career, but his career gathered momentum later.

His next movie will be Vasthavam. Padma Kumar is the director of this movie. This movie will be Prithvi's second movie with Padma Kumar after Vargam. In that movie, Prithviraj played the role of an anti hero. He later tries to transform himself in to a good human being. He was well appreciated for his performance in that movie. The shooting of Vasthavam will commence from July 25 onwards. The screenplay has been penned down by Babu Janardhanan. Others in cast are Jagathy, Murali, Jagadhish, Salim Kumar, T G Ravi, Sindhu Menon, Samvritha,Sunil and many more.

Prithvi Raj is the most sought after actor in Kollywood also. After his latest hit Parijatham, Prithvi is going places in Kollywood. At the moment he is busy with Mozhi which has Jyothika donning the female lead. Radha Mohan is the director. Prakash Raj is the producer. He has one more in hand with director Vasanth. The movie has been given the title, Saththam Podadhey.
