V.Ravi Chandran is producing July Kaatril movie under the banner Oscar Films. 12B and Ullam Ketkume fame Jeeva is the cinematographer and is also debuting as the director in this movie. Jeeva introduced Asin and Arya and in this movie he is casting Vinay in the lead role. Sada is pairing with him. Yet another heroine is Tanisha from Bollywood. She is the sister of Hindi actress Kajol.

Harris Jeyaraj is composing music for this movie and lyrics are by Vali and Pa.Vijay. Dialogues are penned down by V.Ravi Chandran. This is a poetical love story.
