Remember the blockbuster of veteran director Mahendran's Nenjathai Killadhae? The movie featured Mohan and Suhasini in lead roles with hearty musical score by Ilayaraja. This classic movie went on to become a big commercial hit and broken the negative predictions of film pundits then.

Now Agathiyan, the acclaimed director has the rare distinction of being the only creator in Tamil cinema, who won the national award as best director has chosen the title Nenjathai Killathey for his next directorial venture. This time Agathiyan tries his experimental with Vijay's brother Vikranth, Ammuvagiya Naan fame Bharathi and Vikramadhitya, all are in a low profile and waiting for a good break in their career.

Agathiyan is quite confident about his successful comeback. "The movie is youthful and romantic. It dwells on romance and the emotions and feeling of the lover couples. Shooting is on in a full swing. A portion of the film will be shooting in Kochi, Thekkady and Kodaikanal".

Produced by Blue Waters Movie Makers, the movie has musical score by Premji Amaran, son of Gangai Amaran.
