Action
king
Arjun
is
very
happy
about
the
outcome
of
Marudamalai,
a
much
-
awaited
movie
for
him.
After
a
series
of
flops
from
Madrasi
to
Vathiyar,
Arjun
is
in
dire
need
of
getting
a
hit
to
his
credit.
He
is
hoping
that
the
director
Suraj
will
repeat
the
magic
for
him
this
time
also,
like
he
did
in
his
earlier
film
Thalai
Nagaram.
When I met Arjun on the sets of Marudamalai, he spoke happily for a while about his performance, and the director's excellent treatment to the story. He appreciated the director's efforts in adding grandeur to the film.
In Marudamalai, Arjun plays a young man hailing from a southern district of the state. The director was very particular about the slang being used in this film. All the characters have spoken typical Madurai and Thirunelveli slangs throughout the movie.
During a stunt scene in the movie which was shot in Mumbai, Arjun jumped from the tenth floor of a building without the help of any supporting actor. This will be one of the highlights of the film. 'In many of my earlier films, I have tried to avoid taking the help of the supporting actors in stunt scenes. Since I'm also a stunt man, I know the pain and risks involved in the work. I don't like to pass on such risks to the junior artists.' Arjun said in his husky voice.
Nila and Tamanna are playing the lead lady role against the action king. Hima Khan of Tollywood fame has also agreed to appear in a dance number to add more pep to the film. As usual, Vadivelu is there to provide hilarious comedy. Oscar film's Ravichandiran is producing the movie and has planned to release it in June.
