Once
again
the
release
date
of
Dasavatharam,
the
magnum
opus
of
Kamal
Haasan
has
been
postponed
without
mentioning
the
next
possible
date,
due
to
the
extra-ordinary
delay
in
graphics
work.
Directed
by
KS
Ravikumar,
the
movie
was
originally
planned
for
August
15,
2007.
It
was
postponed
to
Diwali
2007,
but
finally
producer
Ravichandiran
and
hero
Kamal
Hassan
have
jointly
announced
that
the
film
would
hit
the
screens
worldwide
at
the
time
of
Tamil
Festival
Pongal,
2008.
In
his
recent
press
meet,
Kamal
told
that
everything
is
going
smoothly
and
the
film
would
hit
the
screens
on
Pongal.
Now
Ravichandiran,
the
producer
of
Oscar
Films
announced
that
Dasavatharam
would
take
some
more
time
and
they
have
planned
to
release
it
by
mid
February,
on
the
eve
of
Valentine's
Day!
Talking
to
our
correspondent,
Ravichandiran
says,
"The
entire
unit
is
working
hard
to
release
the
movie
for
Pongal,
but
what
really
delays
the
release
is
the
heavy
CG
work
involves
throughout
the
film.
Kamal
wants
to
give
the
film
with
state
of
art
cutting
edge
technology
to
make
it
authentic
and
life
like!"
For
the
first
time
in
Indian
film
industry,
Ravichandiran
outsourced
12
big
software
companies
to
do
the
CG
works
for
the
3
hour
long
film.
To
give
the
special
effects,
only
he
spent
Rs
12
crores
so
far!
According
to
Ravichandiran,
he
will
announce
the
release
date
of
the
film
once
the
CG
work
is
over.
"I
think
February
is
the
perfect
time
to
release
a
big
movie
like
Dasavatharam.
I
already
discussed
this
with
Kamal
Sir,
and
he
is
also
agreed
with
my
point.
Plans
are
going
to
release
the
film
with
1000
prints
in
3
languages
(Tamil,
Telugu
and
Hindi)
and
will
also
have
English
sub
titled
version
for
overseas
viewers" he
added.
