Deepika declines Tamil offers!!

Actress Deepika Padukone, the Bangalore model turned hot new comer in Bollywood in her debut film with Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, turned down for any Tamil projects including Ajith and Surya films! Few days before, there was news spread about her debut in Tamil film industry against Ajith under Saran's Direction.

But reliable sources close to Deepika, "It is a mere imagination but never turns to be in practice. Neither Deepika nor her manager has met or talked to anybody regarding any South Indian film…"

Deepika has started her career through a Kannada film Aishwarya against Upendra. Some of our Tamil film industry filmmakers thought that as a star emerged from South India, she may be accepted the offer from them.

Already Goutham Menon (much earlier to the release of her OSO) has approached the actress for his Vaaranam Aayiram against Surya. But the actress was politely opted out from the project. After the release of OSO, Deepika has become like a super model with the payment of one crore for an endorsement of a product.

At present, she is the Brand Ambassador for many giant companies including Kingfisher, HLL (Close up, Liril) and Strauss Signature. Now, she is fully concentrating in the next project of Siddhard Anand against her ex boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Sources said that the actress was paid Rs.2 crores for this project!

Is there any one ready to pay more than this amount for an actress in Tamil movies?
