Dhanush injured on Pollathavan set

Dhanush was injured while shooting for Pollathavan. He has been admitted to a private hospital and advised complete bed rest by doctors. The actor suffered injuries on his face and forehead. The accident happened when the shooting for an action scene in the film was going on. Stunt coordinator Daniel Balaji was holding a knife in his hand, which accidentally fell on the actor's forehand.

He was given first aid before being rushed to the hospital. He has been advised to stay in bed for atleast a week. After getting this news, Superstar Rajinikanth rushed to see him and told him to take care while shooting for stunt scenes. His family rushed to his bedside to see the actor. Pollathavan has Dhanush and Divya acting in lead roles. The film is director by debutante director Vetri Maran. The actor is expected back on the sets of the film by the beginning of next week.
