It"s
North
Cinema
vs.
South
Cinema
for
the
IFFI
Chief
guests
selection.
The
film
fraternity
from
the
South
is
supporting
the
honour
to
be
bestowed
on
Rajinikanth
while
the
film
fraternity
from
the
North
is
supporting
Dharmendra.
There
seems
to
be
a
war
brewing
between
the
two
factions
over
who
should
be
the
Chief
Guest
of
the
IFFI.
The
IFFI
is
scheduled
to
be
held
in
Goa
during
the
second
week
of
December.
The
IFFI
governing
body
decided
that
they
should
call
a
film
star
from
the
south
to
preside
over
the
event
but
that
proposal
was
met
with
the
disagreement
that
it
should
be
someone
from
the
North.
Some
suggested
Rajini"s
name
while
the
others
suggested
Dharmendra.
Back
at
home
Rajini
has
been
under
pressure
to
step
up
to
play
Chief
Guest,
an
offer
that
he
seems
to
be
reluctant
to
take
up.
He
has
kept
mum
on
the
issue
so
far.
He
hasn"t
shown
keenness
to
play
the
role
and
has
also
told
his
close
friends
to
not
speak
about
the
issue.
Chiranjeevi,
Mohanlal,
Mammotty
and
Mohan
Babu
have
written
in
to
the
Ministry
of
Information
and
Broadcasting
in
support
of
the
star.
If
Rajini
agrees
to
preside
over
the
function
then
the
one
giving
a
bouquet
will
be
a
Bolywood
actress.
Lets
see
how
it
goes.
