Top actresses Asin and Trisha have been in deep mourning after they heard of Jeeva's death. Jeeva was one of their favourite directors. On hearing the news, Asin rushed from Mumbai to pay her respects to her first director (he introduced her in Ullam Ketkume). The actress had spent some time with Aneez, the grieving wife of late director, and shared her happy memories with the director.

She later said, "Jeeva was my first director. Before I signed that film, I heard a lot about his photography. In fact, we have discussions concerning a film with me after his dream project Dham Dhoom. For me, his sudden demise leaves the Industry shocked. They have lost a great director. He was always an energetic person and was always in the thinking of novel ideas for to make a movie about. He is the director, who put forth human feelings with hi- tech visuals."

Asin will return back to Mumbai tonight after paying her last respects to Jeeva. Trisha, the other heroine who was very close to the director, said: "I knew Jeeva from my modeling days. In fact, Jeeva was the director for my first ad film. He was the first to encourage my entry into movies.

She added, "When I had met him in a party a month ago, he promised me to make a film with me. I then insisted that it be shot only in India. He was immediately ok with the proposal. Now Jeeva, my well-wisher is no more. I will no more have a chance associate my self with with this jovial, talented and energetic director.' Trisha was in tears the whole time.

Jeeva's funeral will be held today at Chennai. Before the body was flown to Chennai, Big B Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan paid their last respects to the acclaimed director. Priyadarshan, Jeeva's mentor and guru, saw to it that all Bollywood stars were able to bid the directors departed soul goodbye.

The body was flown into Chennai via Jet Airways. The plane landed at Chennai at 12:30. the body was then taken to his apartment on Sterling Road. The entire film fraternity is waiting to have a last look at Jeeva's body before it is buried at Royapettah Mosque at 6 pm.
