Kamal, Rekha Honoured With FICCI Living Legend Award 2007

FICCI Frames, in association with Moserbear Entertainment, honoured Kamal Hassan and Rekha with "The living legend award" for their excellence in Indian cinema. This honour was delivered to the legends at a grand function held in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamal said that this award will induce him to do more for the industry. Rekha also spoke on this award.

Awards and honours are not new to the acting legend Kamal Hassan. He must have lost count of the number of awards and honors that he has received over the years for his acting abilities. The three-time national award winner for his excellent acting skills, Kamal is the only Indian actor to have received the Film Fare award 16 times!

The Union Government had honoured him with a Padmashri, a few years ago . Though he has always expressed his displeasure over the selection process of the Oscars, all Indian film fans are expecting that the Award is on its way for him at any time during his life span. And now, FICCI has decorated his cap with one more feather.

Kamal Hassan is one of the rare breed of actors who have stamped their class while doing versatile roles in almost all the Indian languages. He is also an excellent writer, Director and choreographer, and has proved his mettle many times in films.
