The
Tamil
Nadu
Chief
Minister
M.Karunanidhi
is
unhappy
that
the
tax
exemption
he
granted
to
Tamil
films
is
being
misused
by
the
film
community.
Many
films
were
released
with
provocative
titles
like
Pokkiri,
Thiruttu
Payale,
Adavadi
etc,
and
some
more
are
in
the
offing.
But
the
directors
and
producers
have
argued
that
these
are
all
Tamil
titles
only,
and
have
enjoyed
the
tax
exemption
benefits
announced
by
the
CM
for
a
good
cause.
After
repeated
complaints
from
many
Tamil
scholars
and
activists
regarding
the
provocative
titles
glorifying
the
proponents
of
the
unethical,
The
Chief
Minister
ordered
the
constitution
of
a
committee
to
recommend
films
which
satisfy
the
eligibility
for
full
tax
exemption.
It
means
any
film
title
which
goes
against
the
Tamil
culture
will
not
entitled
for
tax
benefits.
The
recent
order
of
the
Chief
Minister
has
clearly
indicated
that
films
like
Kettavan,
Porukki,
and
Pollathavan
will
not
eligible
for
tax
exemption.
The
exemption
will
be
granted
only
if
their
titles
are
changed
for
the
better.
