The shooting of Kireedom will be over soon. The movie's planned release date and it will hit the screens on 1st of May - Ajith's birthday. Balaji told that this film would be the Birthday gift to Ajith. This movie is a remake of the Malayalam film Kireedom. Debutant director AL Vijay Anand is directing the film and it will be produced by Suresh Balaji in association with Adlabs.
Young music director GV Prakash, who enthralled the hearts of listeners in Veyyil, has come up with six catchy tracks for the movie and all of them are expected to top the audio charts. Sonu Nigam, Sadhana Sargam and Shankar Mahadevan have rendered their voices for the songs.
According to the director, the movie is different from Ajith's recent films. After Alwar(which was a flop), the actor has chosen to stay away from action-packed masala entertainers and has done a story with family sentiment in Kireedom. The story of Kireedom is, a brave young man who is determined to fight against all odds to fulfill his father's (a constable) dream of seeing his son become a sub-inspector. Raj Kiran plays Ajith's father in the movie, which adds more flavour and creates high expectations to the movie.
