Mamta sings for Kaalai

Mamta Mohandas, the actress who failed to become successful in Tamil cinema, is again knocking at the doors of Kollywood. But this time, she is trying her luck as a singer!

The Malayalee actress is now busy with her Telugu projects and also singing for many Telugu movies. She even won the Filmfare Award for the best singer in Telugu films recently!

After hearing her sweet voice, Simbu invited her to sing a duet with him for his forthcoming film Kaalai. The actress rushed to Chennai yesterday evening to record the song set to the tunes of G.V. Prakashkumar at the Simbu Recording Studio. Simbu himself has penned the lyrics for the songs.

At present the actress doesn't have any Tamil project, and she is acting with Arjun and Mammootty in Vandhe Mataram, a bilingual film, which will be released in both Tamil and Telugu.
