MGR -90 celeberated in a grand way

There is no need for lighting on the Sun. Felicitations and write-ups about the legendary leader MGR are none other than the same. But people in various field try to show their loyalty and kindness to the late leader through organizing functions to felicitate his greatness.

One such function was organized in a grand manner by Vijayan, editor of Idayakkani magazine at Kamaraj Arangam on Sunday, on the occasion of MGR's 90 th birth anniversary.

The programme was named as 'MGR-90'.

All those who worked with MGR, mentored by MGR and his admirers in Tamil cinema and politics gathered under one roof on this occasion. It is a wonder that the leader still has such a charisma and mass love even 20 years after his death.

K.Bagyaraj, Sathyaraj, Manorama, T.M.Soundararajan, P.Suseela, Na.Kamarasan, Pandiyarajan, Mayilsami are the few from the film world who attended the event. Former MP Jagathratchagan of Veera Vanniya Peravai helped a lot in organizing this event in such a grand manner.

The auditorium witnessed a full house scene after a long time. More than 3000 ardent fans from Chennai, Kovai and Madurai attended the function.

Sathyaraj told, 'MGR was a rare phenomenon in both politics and cinema. He is an unparalleled man and a great all-rounder in the field in which he was involved. I'm sure that his centenary celebrations would touch a new peak in the country'.

T.M.Soundararajan was honoured in this function. Manorama, who joined MGR in 26 films, remembered her glorious days with the 'Master of Cinema'.

Lakshman Sruthi orchestra presented the super hit songs of MGR till late night, and the entire crowd stayed back in the auditorium for the concluding song too.
