Namitha - A Directors Nightmare

Namitha, the sex symbol of South Cinema has now become a troublemaker for many directors. One among them is Vincent Selva. The director of Vijay starrer block busters like Priyamaanavale and Youth, had approached Namitha for his latest project Perumal. But the glamour doll demanded Rs. 22 lakhs for that film leaving the director astounded. Usually Namitha gets around Rs.8 lakhs per film. But she has raised this upto Rs.22-25 lakhs soon after she got a chance with Vijay in Azhagiya Tamil Magan.

Not only Vincent Selva, three other directors also had similar experience. Sources said that her boy friend Bharath Kapoor is behind this as he never allows Namee to decide any of her film related matters independently. Bharath accompanies Namee everywhere, even to her film shoots or commercial launch programmes. He allegedly forces the unit to make all the facilities for him as well.

Recently, FM Radio Station conducted a morning programme with Namitha as the special guest. Bharath also went for that programme along with Namee. When he tried to enter the Studio, the Director led to the guest room. He shouted at the director and returned angrily. 2 months back, Namitha had signed 5 films in Tamil and Kannada but 2 of the films (Kaval and Maaya) have been dropped due to various reasons. Now she is acting in Vyapari and Azhgiya Tamil Magan only. If things continue the same way, Namee's name would soon vanish from the silver screen.
