Nayanthara replaces Trisha!!

The heroine of Vijay starred Kuruvi is officially announced. She is not Trisha As expected, but Nayantara who replaced Trisha as Vijay's heroine in this Dharani directed project, produced by Udayanithi Stalin!

Confirming the news yesterday, Dharani says, "Nayantara is the heroine signed for my next film with Vijay. The other details of the film will be disclosed later in proper manner…" Nayantara also confirmed the same and told this correspondent, "Yes, I have signed Kuruvi. My present assignment in Tamil Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Billa will be completed by the end of September. After this film I will fully concentrate in Vijay's project. I gave a bulk call sheet for this film. For me, this is a very important film in my career!"

This is Nayan's first film with Vijay as hero, though earlier she had done an item song with him in Sivakasi (Kodambakkam area...), which gave her a big boost. Actually the fans of Illayathalapathy have been clamoring after Vijay to cast Nayan as his heroine.

Nayan also denied reports in a section of media that she has signed a film with Arya to be directed by cameraman R.D.Rajasekhar. The actress told, "Most of the time I learned a lot about me through the media only. It seems that media knows more details about me than what I know! Regarding Rajasekar's film nobody has approached me and I have not even heard the script. Then how do I do the film?"
