Two
separate
cases
are
filed
against
the
recently
released
blockbuster
movie
Paruthi
Veeran,
which
has
been
produced
and
directed
by
Ameer.
According
to
the
story,
the
father
of
the
hero
belongs
to
Devar
community
who
married
a
Dalith
(Malai
Kurava)
lady.
Due
to
this
marriage,
all
his
relatives
turn
against
him.
Many
years
after
this,
his
son,
the
hero
falls
in
love
with
his
aunt's
daughter.
This
creates
many
problems
between
the
two
families
and
even
between
the
two
communities.
The organizer of Malai Kuravar Makkal Munnani, Ramasami filed a case on the grounds that the film would lead to communal clashes and unnecessary misunderstandings between the communities. He asked for a ban on the film till a few scenes that hurt people's sentiments are cut. Another case has already been filed by the relatives of Paruthy Veeran, a real character hailing from Madurai District. The court has sent notices to Ameer and actor Siva Kumar to attend the court for further proceedings.
