Poonam
Bajwa,
the
telugu
actress,
will
play
the
leading
ladys
role
opposite
Dhanush
in
his
forthcoming
film,
Pollathavan.
Though
the
title
for
the
film
has
been
given
by
Rajini,
the
director
Vetrimaran
wants
to
retain
Dhanush's
playboy
image
in
this
film
against
Rajini's
wishes.
According
to
the
director,
Pollathavan
is
an
action-cum-romance
film.
The
shooting
of
the
film
will
commence
soon
after
the
completion
of
the
talky
portion
of
Yaaradi
Nee
Mohini.
G.V.Prakash
Kumar
of
Veyyil
fame,
will
score
the
music,
and
Velraj
will
handle
the
camera.
Poonam
Bajwa,
who
is
very
familiar
to
Telugu
audiences
after
the
hits
like
Boss
I
love
you
with
Nagarjuna
and
Premante
Inte
with
Navdeep,
is
making
her
Tamil
debut
with
Pollathavan.
Due
to
her
open
mind
to
glamour
and
her
sex
appeal,
the
director
has
been
forced
to
make
the
screenplay
spicier.
Vetrimaaran
told
us,
'This
is
a
movie
for
the
youth.
I
know
what
they
expect
from
Dhanush.
So
I
did
the
screenplay
keeping
that
in
consideration...'
Recently,
the
Pollathavan
crew
arranged
for
a
photo
shoot.
There
were
two
different
sets
of
photos
taken
on
that
day.
One
set
of
photos
with
Dhanush
has
been
delivered
already.
The
other
set
of
photographs
containing
some
seductive
poses
of
Poonam
has
been
kept
by
the
crew
to
be
released
at
the
pooja.
The
interesting
buzz
in
the
air
is
that,
before
Danush,
she
was
approached
by
his
'arch
rival'
Simbu
for
his
film,
Kettavan.
But
knowing
about
the
things
that
had
happened
to
her
co-star
Nayantara,
she
categorically
denied
the
offer.
When
she
felt
that
the
offer
from
Danush
is
a
safer
option,
she
immediately
accepted
it.
No
wonder
then
that
in
future,
she
might
even
have
a
chance
to
play
a
role
with
his
great
'in-
law'
too!
