On Wednesday evening, Moser Baer, India's largest home video company entered into a tie-up with Prakash Raj's Duet Movies to produce three films simultaneously in Tamil.

Vellithirai, Abhiyum Naanum and Mayilu are the three films, and as known earlier, Vellithirai is a remake of a superhit Malayalam film. Viji, who had earlier penned dialogues for Radha Mohan's films like Azhagiya Theeya, Ponniyin Selvan, and Mozhi, is making his debut as a director through Vellithirai.

Radha Mohan, the director of Mozhi is directing another movie Abhiyum Naanum which centers on the father-daughter relationship, where Prakash Raj plays the father role while Trisha is his daughter. Mayilu is completely set in the backdrop of Madurai, and shooting will commence in October end. Maestro Ilayaraja has scored its music, and Jeevan is directing the film with totally new faces.

Speaking on the occasion of this new tie-up, Prakash Raj criticised that scripts made for Tamil cinema are fake products, while it the foreign films are made with original scripts based on real-life incidents and experiences. The villain actor was repeatedly pointing out that it is only Duet Movies that produces good and quality movies and not the others!

So shall we infer that other producers and directors of Tamil cinema are not making good films? Is it applicable to his mentor K.B as well?
