The story of the film is about 18- year- olds who let their imagination run riot. The scenes which happened in Preethi's real life are reflected in this film. But the thing is that all these scenes were shot much earlier than her real life elopement episode.
According to the story, Preethi is the wicked Nalini's elder brother's daughter in the film. Unable to bear the torture from her aunt, she writes a letter, 'Instead of dying a slow death at your hands, I would rather run away.' There's another dialogue where she says, 'Even though I have parents, it is of no use. I'm still an orphan.' The crew saw her crying when the scene was shot at the sets. 'Yes...when that scene was shot, Preethi Varma really shed tears. We were so touched by her realistic acting that we congratulated her. It is only later that we came to know that this situation had happened in her life too. The very next week after this particular shot, we came to know that she had run away from home. Even now we are astounded by the coincidence,' says Vijay.M, the director of the film.
The film has been produced by MS Thamizharasan and Pazhani Elias for Kovai Film City. Directed by M Vijay, Ajay Pradeep makes his debut as hero in it. Newcomer Babu is the other hero and Nalini plays the vamp as Vaddi Vasantha.
The story is a perfect mix of romance and action, and features 5 songs. In every film, there's a song celebrating the New Year, and this film is no exception. The lyrics for "Pudhu varudam varugiradhu, pudhu vazhigal pirakkiradhu, kondattam ullasam urchagamthaan..." have been penned by Snehan and composed by Leo. Like Kamal's "ilamai idho idho..." from Sakalakala Vallavan, this song also will be a must-play at every New Year celebration. The producers have planned to release this film in May.
