Rajinikanth's casual visit to Mani Ratnam's office has raised many rumours, and has made the local media publish the flash news that the two will join hands again for a film. Some of the vernacular dailies also have carried the news on their front page that Manirathnam is going to direct Rajini again, 18 years after they did Dalapathy!
But when the correspondents enquired about the superstar's visit, sources said that as of now, neither the director or the actor discussed doing a film again when they met today. Moreover, after the historical hit of Shivaji, the expectations are soaring high for the actor's next film and the superstar is also aware that Mani is in a different league from the commercial directors.
Sources from the superstar say that the actor visited Mani to convey his condolences regarding the death of the latter's brother. Mani's PRO Nikil Murugan said that the superstar's visit was merely a courtesy call, and they have no inentions of joining hands again for a film.
