RGV to make Kollywood debut

Ace director-producer Ram Gopal Verma will be making his Kollywood debut with a film titled Leelai. The film will be made under his own production banner. The main cast of this film will consist of Madhavan and Shamita Shetty. The film will be bi-lingual and will be released in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. He had planned his Kollywood debut earlier with now wife husband acting couple Surya - Jyothika. After they got married, he dropped the film.

However the director of mega projects is not new to Tamil Film industry. Most of the Tamil viewers have known well him through his blockbuster Udayam which had Nagarjuna in the lead role. Originally the film was made in Telugu but the dubbed version got excellent opening and an unimaginable profit.

After this film released, many production houses approached Ram Gopal Verma to do a film under their banners. But he chose to convcentrate on his own productions in Hindi and Telugu. Kona Venkat, one of Ram Gopal Verma associates, will direct the film. The movie also has Sada and Shayaji Shinde in prominent roles. G V Prakash Kumar will be the music director of the film.
