ramya annoyed with 'Kuthu' title

Kuthu ramya, a glamour doll from the land of sandalwood has decided to change her name as Divya from her new film Vaaranam Aayiram. She made her debut with Simbu in Kuthu (Punch). After the success of the movie, the media and fans started calling her Kuthu ramya.The prefix Kuthu gives a seductive connotation to her name.

Initially, the actress didn't understand the meaning behind the word Kuthu. But after knowing the meaning of this word, she started objecting to her being called as Kuthu ramya. But nobody is ready to forego this double- meaning word. Finally, the actress has decided to change her name to Divya after signing up for the film Vaaranam Aayiram with Surya. She announced this formally at a press meet, and has appealed to the media to call her Divya hereafter.

O.K., hereafter we can call her Vaaranam Divya... An interesting note is, the Tamil meaning for the Sanskrit word Vaaranam is Elephant!
