Roja refused to do mother roles, but she is now playing mother to Nila in a film.

Director A Venkatesh is so busy making films that he has no time to even relax a bit. As soon as Vaathiyar got released, he started work with Bharath and Nila in Killadi.

Killadi is evolving in a different way. Wherever the shooting is happening, the photo session with Bharath and Nila is being done.

Venkatesh specialises in action films and Bharath in romance films. The director's office says Killadi is a combination of both.

There's a vamp role in the film. After considering many actresses, Venkatesh zeroed in on Roja to play the role of Nila's rich mother.

With no offers on hand, Roja agreed for the part. Prashant played hero to her in Sembaruthi and he's still doing college boy roles. In Thagappansamy, Nila was his heroine. In Killadi, Nila is Roja's daughter.

It's true that actresses have very short innings as leading ladies.
