Sameera is Surya's pair in Vaaranam Ayiram!

Goutham Vasudeva Menon, one of the promising commercial filmmakers in Kollywood, has been restarted the work of his mega project Varanam Ayiram. The Surya starrer film was postponed for a while due to Surya"s commitment to his other project Vel. Now he will be return to Vaaranam Ayiram sets. The director is decided to resume the shooting of the same. But the director's heroine hunt is still continues.

Initially Goutham opted for Deepika Padukone but the she has preferred to do King Khan Shahrukh Khan's film! He next approached Asin but she had no free dates. Boys Genelia signed for the lead a while later but later she had withdrawn from this project due to a clash in her dates. According to the script, there are two heroines in the movie. Boys Genelia has signed for the second heroine"s role and she had attended the shooting of the film, which was held abroad.

Now the director is almost settled with an actress for the main lead. She is none other than Sameera Reddy, the Bollywood bombshell. She will play the role of an NRI in this film. Sameera flew to Chennai last week and had a discussion with the director. According to the sources, Banu, the costume designer of the film had a rehearsal with the actress on last Saturday and the actress will be expected to attend the shooting of Vaaranam Ayiram, which will commence in the US next week.
