Late
S.G.Kittappa
was
one
of
the
legendary
actors
-
cum
singers
of
Tamil
cinema
in
the
early
50's,
and
his
wife,
late
K.B.Sundarambal
has
been
a
household
name
in
the
Tamil
film
industry
for
more
than
50
years.
Their
grandson
Krishna's
daughter
Sandhya
will
appear
in
a
Tamil
film
along
with
Thirumavalavan.
The
film
has
been
titled
as
Kalagam.
Being
a
student
of
Medicine
at
Bengalooru,
Sandhya
has
shown
great
interest
in
acting
cum
singing.
She
will
also
sing
a
song
in
Kalagam.
Along
with
Thirumavalavan,
ace
actors
Nasser,
Saikumar
and
Vadivelu
also
will
feature
in
the
film.
Se
Kuvera
is
producing
the
film
under
his
new
banner
Velicham
Kalaipattari.
Mu.Kalangiam,the
director
of
the
film
said,
'I'm
very
proud
to
introduce
Sandhya
in
my
film.
I
feel
that
this
is
my
way
of
honouring
the
legends
of
Tamil
cinema...''
However,
the
director
has
hinted
that
he
will
change
the
name
of
the
heroine
to
one
that
is
more
apt
for
the
film
world.
