For
most
celebrity
actors
in
Tamil
Cinema,
cinema
becomes
an
entry
pass
for
their
entry
into
politics.
The
latest
one
to
join
this
club
is
actor
Sarath
Kumar.
He
joins
the
ranks
of
Vijaykanth,
Radha
Ravi,
T
Rajender
and
Karthik.
The
actor
announced
that
he
will
launch
his
new
political
movement
along
with
his
new
film
Nam
Naadu.
The
film
itself
is
directed
by
Suresh
and
is
produced
by
Kanakarathna
Movies
producer
Ramesh
Babu.
Malayalam
actress
Karthika
is
the
playing
the
female
lead
role.
She
is
making
her
Tamil
film
debut
in
the
film.
Yesteryear
heroine
Pragathi
too
will
be
acting
the
film
but
only
in
a
cameo.
She
made
her
debut
in
K
Bagyaraj's
Veetla
Visheshanga.
It
is
her
first
movie
in
seven
years.
Sarath
Kumar
met
the
media
on
the
sets
of
the
film
in
Chennai
along
with
the
other
members
of
the
cast
and
crew
of
Nam
Naadu.
The
gathering
was
very
small
but
the
whole
press
conference
lasted
for
about
an
hour
and
a
half.
At
the
press
meet,
all
his
co-stars
were
all
praise
for
his
noble
intentions.
It
seemed
like
they
turned
supporters
for
him.
The
actors
said
later
during
the
press
conference.
"Nam
Naadu
is
a
remake
of
the
highly
successful
Malayalam
film
Lion.
While
making
the
film,
I
felt
the
strongly
the
message
of
the
film.
The
film
would
be
benchmark
film
in
my
career.
The
script
of
the
film
will
be
changed
slightly
from
the
original."
He
added,
"The
film
has
a
scene
which
brings
CM
Karunanidhi's
arrest
back
into
the
spotlight.
The
same
scene
was
there
is
the
original
script.
But
I
felt
that
the
scene
is
not
relevant
to
the
Tamil
version
of
the
film.
So
I
have
redone
the
scene
to
suit
the
Tamil
audience
sensibilities."
He
also
said
that
the
film
was
not
a
fiction
story.
It
has
a
mixture
of
the
current
state
of
affairs
and
has
a
little
fiction
in
it.
Having
this
kind
of
a
story,
it
is
quite
apt
to
launch
my
new
political
movement.
I
hope
to
launch
my
political
party
by
the
end
of
September.
