The
South
Indian
Film
Artist
association
aka
Nadigar
Sangam
has
postponed
the
date
and
venue
of
the
star
night
that
was
planned
to
be
held
in
Singapore.
The
event,
which
was
initially
planned
to
be
held
on
the
11th
of
August,
has
been
postponed
to
the
6th
of
October.
The
event
has
ben
postponed
so
that
Rajinikanth
and
Kamal
Hassan
would
be
able
to
take
part
in
the
function.
The
star
night
would
be
followed
up
by
a
similar
event
in
San
Francisco,
USA
on
the
21st,
22nd
and
23rd
of
November.
The
president
of
the
association
Sarath
Kumar
recently
at
a
press
conference
announced
these
change
yesterday.
A
few
weeks
back
Sarath
announced
that
the
star
night
will
be
held
on
the
now
cancelled
dates.
The
event
would
be
used
to
also
celebrate
the
75
years
of
Tamil
Cinema
and
also
to
raise
funds
for
a
new
building
for
the
association.
After
the
event
was
settled
upon
and
the
date
was
finalised,
many
star
actors
said
that
they
wouldn't
be
able
make
it.
Kamal
Hassan
and
Ajith
were
not
able
to
make
it.
Rajini
said
that
he
will
be
only
able
to
participate
in
the
show
for
half
an
hour.
After
facing
such
poor
response
for
participation
in
the
event,
Sarath
Kumar
slapped
a
ban
on
all
the
actors
who
would
not
take
part.
The
actors
then
appealed
to
him
to
change
the
dates
of
the
event
so
that
they
will
be
able
to
finish
the
shooting
commitments
and
then
participate
in
the
event
comfortably.
Though
the
event
will
be
held
on
the
6th
of
October,
events
celebrating
75
years
of
Tamil
Cinema
will
be
on
August
6th
onwards
in
Singapore.
These
events
include
the
screening
if
late
thespian
Sivaji
Ganeshan's
Veera
Pandiya
Kattabomman,
Thangar
Bachchan's
Pallikoodam
and
Madhavan
film
Arya.
All
the
office
bearers
of
the
Nadigar
Sangam
would
attend
this
function.
Other
personalities
and
veteran
like
director
Bharatiraja,
Vijaya
T
Rajender,
Parthiban,
Thangar
Bachchan,
Sathyaraj,
Cheeyan
Vikram,
Sneha,
Sri
Priya,
Nayantara
and
Bhavana,
will
also
attend
the
event.
Tamil
Cinema's
two
shining
stars
kamal
Hassan
and
Rajinikanth
are
expected
to
participate
in
the
se
events
too.
The
function
would
be
attended
by
office-bearers
of
the
Nadigar
Sangam
and
popular
film
personalities
including
director
Bharatiraja,
Vijaya
T.
Rajender,
Parthiban,
and
Thangar
Bachchan,
actors
Sathyaraj,
Cheeyan
Vikram,
actresses
Sneha,
Sri
Priya,
Nayantara,
and
Bhavana
among
others.
It
is
expected
that
leading
stars
like
Rajini,
Kamal
and
Ajith
will
be
participate
in
all
the
two
shows
to
help
to
raise
more
funds.
