Shankar-
Tamil
Cinema's
grandest
filmmaker
yet
-
will
return
from
the
US
today
after
a
month
long
vacation.
But
before
his
arrival,
gossip
has
been
doing
its
rounds
about
his
next
film.
According
to
some
Kollywood
sources,
Shankar
is
finally
starting
work
on
his
ambitious
pet
project
Robo
(i.e
Robot),
a
science
fiction
thriller.
Guess...who
will
be
the
hero?
Ajith
or
Kamal...?
No,
it
is
Bollywood
action
hero
Hrithik
Roshan.
One
of
the
assistants
of
he
director
casually
let
the
cat
out
of
the
bag
and
told
us
a
few
secrets
about
the
director's
next
film.
According
to
him,
the
director
has
already
decided
on
his
next
film.
The
same
will
be
produced
by
Adlabs,
Reliance's
film
branch.
Since
the
plot
of
the
story
is
completely
science
based,
there
will
be
a
lot
of
graphics
involved
-
the
sets
will
be
grand
too.
The
producer
might
have
to
be
willing
to
spend
money
never
before.
Shankar
thought
that
only
a
corporate
film
company
can
do
this.
The
story
is
not
very
new
to
Tamilians.
It
has
been
written
by
Sujatha
a
few
years
back
as
a
serial
in
a
Magazine.
It
was
titled
'En
Iniya
Iyanthira'
(My
Dear
Machine).
According
to
the
sources,
the
director
will
refine
the
story
and
convert
it
into
a
script
-
and
usual
he
will
add
his
own
special
effects.
The
story
is
set
in
Chennai
in
3050
AD.
It
will
have
traveling
in
a
time
machine
it.
Do
you
have
any
suggestions
and
twists
that
you
could
add
to
this
plot?
A
politics,
science,
crime
or
love
twist?
This
is
allegedly
the
special
power
of
Robo.
Shankar
had
actually
planned
to
go
ahead
with
this
in
2003
with
Kamal
Hassan.
But
some
differences
between
the
two
forced
them
to
drop
the
project.
Also,
the
director
would
like
to
have
an
Indian
actor
with
an
international
appeal
to
play
the
films
lead
role.
In
Tamil,
Superstar
Rajinikanth
is
the
only
actor
with
overseas
business
value
-
this
has
been
proved
with
the
success
of
his
latest
block
buster
Shivaji.
Since
the
project
would
be
cost
around
100
Cr
rupees,
the
director
would
like
to
rope
in
a
Bollywood
stars
for
his
dream
project.
The
success
of
Koi
Mil
Gaya
and
Krrish
may
convince
the
director
to
choose
Hrithik
Roshan
to
play
Robo.
Adlabs,
the
corporate
film
company
which
has
already
blocked
the
dates
of
Hrithik
Roshan
for
their
next
venture,
has
come
forward
to
produce
the
film.
They
are
expected
to
have
talks
with
the
director
this
week.
AR
Rahman
will
be
the
composer
to
this
film
also.
Hrithik
Roshan
-
Shankar
-
A.R.Rahman...
How
is
this
new
combination?
Chumma
Adhiruthilla!
