Superstar
Rajini's
Shivaji
is
still
going
steady
in
Chennai
city
and
the
suburbs.
The
film
is
running
to
packed
houses
in
its
third
week
in
all
the
16
screens
in
the
city
itself.
In
the
suburbs,
all
the
30
theaters
were
booked
a
day
before
the
show,
and
still
there
are
long
queues
of
people
waiting
for
tickets.
According
to
the
box
office
reports,
the
film
has
collected
Rs.3.
5
crores
in
just
14
days
and
is
expected
to
fully
recover
its
cost
of
production
within
10
days,
if
things
proceed
smoothly.
Abhirami
Ramanathan,
the
distributor
for
Chennai
city
said,
"I
am
in
utter
disbelief
about
such
a
grand
opening
for
a
film
like
this
even
in
its
third
week.
The
movie
has
truly
set
a
world
record.
So
far,
the
film
has
collected
a
net
of
Rs.3.5
crores,
and
it
is
expected
to
rake
in
around
Rs.5
crores
towards
the
end
of
the
third
week.
I
hope
the
film
will
recover
my
investment
within
the
next
two
weeks..."
According
to
'Abhirami'
Ramanathan,
"Nearly
7
lakh
people
have
watched
the
film
in
the
past
two
weeks.
In
our
complex,
we
are
using
all
the
four
auditoriums
during
the
weekends.
Even
then,
the
advance
booking
goes
steady
for
the
following
week.
I'm
proud
to
say
our
superstar
is
the
one
and
only
emperor
of
the
box
office.
He
is
truly
amazing...!"
In
its
third
week
run
also,
Shivaji
still
has
no
rivals.
Ajith
starrer
Kreedom
will
be
released
only
after
the
5th
week
of
Shivaji's
release.
That
too
would
hardly
be
a
competition
to
the
well
placed
Shivaji.
