Abirami Ramanathan, the Chairman and Managing Director of Abirami Mega Mall has clinched the distribution rights of superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus Shivaji for Chennai City.
Ramanathan is known as the 'Baron of Exhibitors' and is the President of Chennai Exhibitors Association. "I didnt watch the film even a single scene. But I had a look on the albums recently released by AVM. It is simply mind-boggling. I have not seen such an extraordinary stills and colourful settings in my 30 years cinema experience. I am sure the film will rewrite the history at the box office," said Ramanathan.
However, he refused to disclose the amount he has paid for the rights and the number of theaters he will exhibit on May 31st. It is a known secret that the producer of Shivaji AVM Saravanan and Ramanathan are very close friends right from the days of AV Meiyappan, the founder of the production house.
