An unconfirmed source close to AVM revealed that the release of the film Shivaji will be delayed by a minimum of 15 days from the earlier release date fixed by the production house. This is due to the non completion of the postproduction works by Shankar's unit. Initially AVM announced that the film will be released even 2 days before the Tamil New Year. But Director Shankar needs more time to give final touches to the magnum opus of Tamil cinema. Two days ago, Shankar called Rajini for a 'mini' shoot for some patch works. This patch - work shoot was completed today afternoon only. AVM sources said that Shankar would like to change a few scenes in the film according to the requirement of the Tamil and the Telugu versions.
However sources close to director Shankar said, 'The postproduction work is still continuing and it may take a couple of weeks to complete the graphics work. Just now we shot some scenes with Rajini in 4 different get-ups. As a result, the release of Sivaji may be deferred by a couple of weeks.' The audio for Sivaji will be launched on April 4. This latest buzz might upset the ardent fans of Shivaji. However the production house refused to comment anything about the rumour. According to them it was one more 'item' in the sea of scoops about Shivaji!
