Actor
Sivakumar
and
his
son
Karthi
will
be
flying
off
to
North
America
to
attend
a
function
being
organized
by
the
Federation
of
Tamils,
and
Carolina
Tamil
Association
on
the
17
th
July.
The
function
will
last
till
the
19th
of
the
month.
As
a
veteran
actor,
Sivakumar
will
deliver
a
lecture
to
the
Tamil
audience
there
on
his
rich
experience
in
Tamil
cinema
which
has
lasted
more
than
40
years.
The
actor
has
attained
a
stature
equivalent
to
that
of
the
legends
of
Tamil
cinema,
MGR,
and
Shivaji
Ganesan,
and
is
reckoned
as
one
of
the
best
performers
in
the
industry.
Apart
from
his
acting
skills,
he
has
carved
a
niche
for
himself
as
a
good
painter
too.
His
younger
son
and
the
new
darling
of
teenage
girls,
Karthi,
will
also
share
his
experience
of
working
with
director
Ameer
in
Paruthi
Veeran.
Karthi
has
completed
his
MS
in
engineering
in
the
US
a
few
years
ago,
and
later
he
worked
under
Manirathnam
as
an
assistant
to
learn
direction.
The
father,
son
duo
will
be
off
to
USA
on
the
17th
of
July,
and
will
be
back
on
the
20th
of
the
same
month.
