Surya to act in AIDS film

Man comes to Planet Earth, which is full of natures beauty, and leaves it full of disease and pollution. Very few people realize that this has eroded the world we live in over time, one among whom is actor Surya. He is acting in a film in a effort to create awareness among the general public about AIDS and pollution.

Despite a hectic shooting schedule shooting for movies and advertisements, he has managed to squeeze in the shooting of the film into his schedule. The film is an idea of the Tamilnadu AIDS Control Society (TNACS). It is a part of its AIDS awareness program. Acting with Surya will be Nasser. The film, which will be shot using the DTS effect, will be screened in theatres in Chennai City before the movie plays. The TCANS has also made efforts to screen this film in rural theatres also.

When asked about this gesture of his, he said, “The film on AIDS awareness is an effort from my side to create awareness of AIDS, a deadly disease which can be contracted from unsafe sex. I hope that through the film I will be able to reach out to the masses. In the future, I will participate in many such programs.”

At present, the actor is acting in two big projects - Vel and Varanam Aayiram. The actor will not be paid a paisa for this gesture.
