Any
artist
who
has
skill
and
personality
would
get
his
or
her
share
in
Tamil
film
industry.
A
number
of
examples
can
illustrate
this;
for
instance
the
case
of
Tamanna.
South
Indian
film
world
has
been
witnessing
the
entry
of
new
faces
from
Kerala
rather
than
those
from
North,
which
was
the
case
earlier.
Tamanna
is
an
exception.
The
young
Sindhi
girl
is
making
waves
in
Tamil
and
Telugu
films
following
K.D,
in
which
she
was
cast
opposite
Ravi
Krishna.
Though
the
film
flopped
disastrously,
Tamanna
won
rave
reviews
and
and
started
getting
offers.
Her
character
in
K.D.
was
a
kind
of
offbeat
one
coupled
with
negative
shades
like
'Neelambari'
in
Padayappa.
Tamanna's
first
film
was
Sri
with
Manoj,
son
of
actor
turned
politician
Mohanbabu.
The
film
became
a
smash
hit
in
Telugu
and
seeing
her
performance
in
that
film,
director
Jyothi
Krishna
signed
her
for
his
K.D,
produced
by
his
father
A.M.Rathnam.
Even
before
her
entry
into
Tamil
film
industry,
Tamanna
appeared
in
many
ad
films
for
big
companies
like
Sakthi
Masala,
RMKV,
Saravana
etc.,
which
made
her
quite
popular
in
Tamil
house
holds.
Now
she
has
a
handful
of
films
in
Tamil
as
well
as
Hindi
and
has
already
given
dates
to
directors
Shakthi
Chidambaram
and
Balaji
Shakthivel.
When
our
correspondent
met
her
on
the
sets
of
Vyapari
at
AVM
Studios,
she
shared
her
experience
in
Tamil
film
industry.
'Tamil
is
not
an
unknown
language
to
me.
In
fact
I
know
this
language
fluently
enough
to
speak.
But
to
save
the
viewers,
I
accepted
Suchi's
voice
for
dubbing
(but
Tamanna's
voice
is
not
so
bad
as
she
said).
Many
have
thought
that
the
husky
voice
is
mine.
I
did
not
expect
such
a
rousing
reception
for
me.
In
fact
my
first
film
was
a
flop.
I
am
indeed
thankful
and
will
be
very
trustful
to
the
Tamil
viewers.'
Tell
me
the
projects
you
signed
recently?
Many
know
this.
My
next
movie
is
Vyapari,
in
which
I'm
acting
as
a
lover
of
S.J.Surya.
It
is
a
very
thrilling
experience
to
act
with
actors
like
S.J.Surya.
This
film
might
be
released
next
month.
And
the
other
project
is
with
director
Balaji
Shakthivel.
In
Telugu,
I
have
signed
two
films.
There
are
two
more
projects
in
Hindi
awaiting
me.
Would
you
like
to
continue
as
a
glamour
Heroine?
Why
not...
I
don't
mind
doing
glamorous
roles
as
long
as
they
are
not
vulgar.
Ileana,
your
co-heroine
in
K.D.
has
become
a
top
heroine
in
Telugu.
Is
there
any
frustration...
No,
certainly
not.
And
I
don't
like
these
comparisons.
Let
me
live
and
perform
in
my
own
style.
No
one
will
be
a
competitor
to
me.
Who
is
your
favourite
hero?
Not
one...many.
Rajni
sir
is
my
all
time
favourite
hero.
I
would
be
very
happy
if
there
is
a
chance
to
act
with
him
even
in
a
small
role.
Vijay,
Ajith
and
Surya
are
also
my
favourite
heroes.
