The
Government
of
Tamil
Nadu
has
announced
Kalaimamani
awards
for
60
personalities
in
different
categories
including
film
artists
Trisha,
Jayam
Ravi,
Vishal,
Director
Bala
and
Simbu
for
the
year
2006.
The Government of Tamil Nadu gives this award on behalf of 'Iyal Isai Nataka Manram', a govt institution for cultural development, every year for different personalities titled as 'Kalaimamamni'. There are 60 people from different categories who have been selected for this award for the year 2006. Out of them, 28 people are from the cinema industry.
