Generally,
Tamil
directors
are
using
heroines
as
glamour
set
property
in
most
of
their
films.
Particularly
in
action
oriented
films,
heroines
are
only
signed
for
singing
duets
with
the
heroes.
This
masala
format
is
slowly
changing
in
recent
days.
Even
the
big
action
hero,
Superstar
Rajini
is
also
insisting
his
directors
to
give
enough
scope
to
his
heroines!
Today's
heroines
should
not
only
do
glamorous
roles,
but
also
should
be
able
to
emote
and
be
a
craze
among
the
youth
and
family
audiences.
She
should
have
some
on-screen
chemistry
with
the
hero,
be
a
good
dancer
plus
her
rapport
and
image
with
her
fans
is
of
prime
importance.
That's
why
heroines
like
Trisha
and
Namitha
are
interesting
in
starting
their
fan
clubs
like
a
hero.
No
doubt,
Asin,
the
heroine
of
mass
walked
away
with
the
crown
Queen
of
Tamil
film
industry-2007.
Her
impressive
strike
rate
at
the
Box
Office
and
popularity
among
the
Tamil
viewers
in
all
age
group
made
her
as
the
numero
uno
among
all
the
heroines
in
the
industry.
In
the
beginning
of
the
year,
she
had
a
Blockbuster
Pokkiri
with
Vijay.
But
she
suffered
a
worst
flop
with
Ajith's
Azhwar.
But
after
months,
she
has
redeemed
her
number
one
post
through
super
hit
Vel
at
the
end
of
the
year.
No
other
heroine
has
this
much
of
good
strike
rate
in
this
industry.
And
Asin's
rapport
with
her
producers,
directors
and
heroes
is
something
extraordinary.
No
one
could
even
near
this
Mallu
girl
in
those
aspects!
Shreya,
the
heroine
of
the
Superstar
in
Shivaji,
a
film
with
phenomenon
success,
just
missed
the
opportunity
to
become
as
the
number
one
actress
of
the
industry,
just
because
of
her
setback
in
Azhagiya
Tamil
Magan.
At
last
Nayantara,
the
actress
suffered
with
lot
of
personal
problems
got
a
release
in
the
year
end.
Her
only
release
Billa-2007
opened
well
and
even
became
a
hit.
Her
seductive
looks
and
bikini
type
costumes
throughout
the
film
pouring
more
such
chances
on
her
and
helped
a
lot
to
grab
a
place
in
the
top
5
actress
of
Tamil
film
industry.
Though
Priyamani
emerged
as
the
dark
horse
through
Ameer's
outstanding
film
Paruthi
Veeran,
she
lost
her
elegance
and
dignity
earned
through
Paruthi
Veeran
in
her
below
average
performance
in
Vishal's
hit
film
Malai
Kottai.
She
merely
appeared
as
a
doll
with
minimal
costumes
in
that
film
without
showing
proper
expressions.
But
at
the
year
end
she
got
a
golden
opportunity
to
light
the
lamp
at
the
prestigious
India
International
Film
Festival
in
Goa,
in
the
company
of
King
Khan.
And
Trisha
unfortunately
the
nice
looking
and
performance
oriented
actress
hasn't
any
good
releases
in
the
year
2007.
Her
only
release
Kreedom
also
bombed
at
the
Box
Office.
But
she
was
easily
overtaken
the
hero
of
the
film
Ajith
through
her
excellent
performance.
Her
mischievous
looks
and
performing
in
tough
scenes
with
professional
ease
still
keeps
her
in
the
race.
Hope,
year
2008
will
have
some
interesting
line
ups
like
Kuruvi,
Abhiyum
Naanum
and
Bheema
for
this
talented
actress.
There
are
few
other
heroines
like
Kuthu
Ramya
and
Bhavana
performed
well
in
their
films.
But
the
poor
Box
Office
results
of
those
films
keep
them
in
bottom
of
our
list!
