Dharani,
who
is
going
to
direct
the
Vijay
starrer
Kuruvi,
has
been
making
sincere
attempts
for
a
patch-up
between
the
hero
Vijay
and
heroine
Trisha
before
the
launch
of
the
movie.
Kuruvi
is
the
next
movie
of
Vijay
after
his
Diwali
due
Azhagiya
Tamil
Magan.
Recently,
the
actor
completed
the
final
schedule
of
ATM
and
the
post
production
work
has
also
started.
Now
the
official
announcement
regarding
the
launch
of
Kuruvi
has
been
released
to
the
press.
As
per
the
release,
the
film
is
going
to
produced
by
Udayanithi,
son
of
the
DMK
minister
and
most
powerful
political
personality
in
the
state,
M.K.Stalin.
The
shooting
for
the
film
is
likely
to
start
sometime
in
mid-September
as
soon
as
Vijay
completes
the
post
production
work
of
Azhagiya
Tamil
Magan.
Dharani
will
be
directing
this
action
cum
adventure
movie
for
the
masses.
Vijay
will
play
Kuruvi,
not
the
chirpy
bird,
but
akin
to
a
bird
of
a
different
type.
According
to
the
sources,
in
this
film,
Vijay
is
a
nice
guy
who
lives
in
the
Burma
Bazaar
(a
market
place
in
Chennai
First
Line
Beach
Road
which
is
familiar
for
selling
foreign
goods,
illegally
brought
from
abroad),
and
makes
a
living
as
a
'Kuruvi',
a
chap
who
goes
to
Singapore
or
Malaysia
or
Dubai
as
a
human
courier
and
comes
back
with
smuggled
items.
One
day
he
is
entrapped
by
the
baddies,
and
how
he
uses
his
brains
and
his
muscle
power
to
come
out
from
the
trap
is
the
crux
of
the
movie.
A
few
days
ago,
it
was
rumoured
that
the
heroine
of
the
film,
Trisha,
has
been
ousted
from
the
project
due
to
her
rifts
with
the
hero
and
that
Vidya
Balan
will
be
signed
up
for
that
role.
The
latest
news
is
that
the
director
has
made
all
his
efforts
to
convince
the
hero
to
sing
a
duet
with
Trisha.
After
seen
the
big
smile
in
Trisha's
face
at
a
film
function
along
with
Vijay
recently,
it
seems
that
the
director
has
succeeded
in
his
efforts.
When
the
correspondent
contacted
director
Dharani,
he
said,
"Kuruvi
is
something
totally
different,
and
features
artists
like
Vijay,
Trisha,
Prakash
Raj,
and
has
music
by
Vidyasagar.
I
think
I
have
divulged
enough
about
the
film
for
the
moment..."
