Vijayakanth follows MGR

Actor cum politician Vijayakanth has registered a title in the name of legendary actor and evergreen political hero of Tamils MGR With the Film Chamber for his next film. This will be his 150th film in his career.

After the debacle of his last film Sabari in the box-office, the actor-turned politician is under pressure to prove his worth in Kollywood again. Sabari was his 149 th film. Now Vijayakanth planned in big way for his 150th film. Maharajan, the director of Vallarasu will be directing the film. The heroine and other technicians are yet to be finalised.

But at the same time he is expecting some protests against the title from AIADMK. To avoid any such confusion, Vijayakanth has chosen an alternate title as Thalaivan, which is also a title of MGR's hit movie.
