Finally Captain Vijaykanth has settled for a suitable title for his next film. It will be titled as Vithagan. Sources reveal that shooting for the movie will commence from August 15th, which is said to be a decision borne out of sentiment. The movie will be produced by the Captain himself for his Captain Cine Creations, and is going to be directed by Madhesh, the director of Vijay starrer Madurai. Being the 150th film of Vijaykanth, the actor thought that the success of the movie might give a boost to his political as well as filmi career after a series of debacles in both these arenas.
Initially it was suggested that the movie be titled as MGR, and the actor also registered for the same with the film chamber. But his political advisor Panruti Ramachandran cautioned him that it might not work out well, as planned. According to him, if the movie did not click well, people will start making disparaging comments about the actor.
A timely advice indeed!
