Ameer
was
severely
injured
and
broken
his
wrist
yesterday
when
he
was
performing
in
a
fight
sequence
for
his
forthcoming
film
Yogi.
The
critically
acclaimed
director
is
debuting
as
a
hero
in
this
film
and
the
same
is
directed
by
Subramanyam
Siva.
Yesterday
there
was
a
fight
sequence
taken
in
the
suburban
area
of
Chennai.
When
the
director
advised
Ameer
to
use
a
stunt
man
as
his
dupe,
Ameer
politely
refused
and
confidently
said
that
he
could
perform
the
stunt
without
any
dupe.
After
that
he
fell
from
the
height
of
40
feet
to
portray
the
frame
perfectly.
But
unfortunately,
he
fell
on
the
hard
floor
and
sustained
several
bruises
and
a
fracture
in
his
wrist.
Immediately,
he
was
admitted
in
a
city
hospital
and
return
home
in
the
evening
after
treatment.
The
shooting
of
Yogi
has
been
temporarily
cancelled
for
few
days
and
will
resume
once
Ameer
returns.
