For

time
in
the
75
year
old
history
of
Tamil
cinema,
an
audio
CD
of
a
movie
will
sell
one
lakh
fifty
thousand
copies
on
its
first
day
of
release.
The
film
is
none
other
than
Captain
Vijaykanth's
150th
film
Arasangam.
With
the
present
downward
trend
in
audio
market,
it
can
be
considered
a
rare
achievement.
The
Vijayakanth
-Navneeth
Kaur
starrer
'Arasangam'
is
slated
to
be
launched
in
April.
Directed
by
Mathesh,
the
audio
of
the
film
will
be
launched
on
March
28th
worldwide.
The
producers
of
'Arasangam'
have
planned
to
make
the
release
a
grand
event
by
organizing
audio
release
functions
all
over
Tamil
Nadu.
Srikanth
Deva
has
scored
the
music
while
Rhythm
Music
has
procured
the
audio
rights.
Ramanujam,
one
of
the
partners
in
Rhythm
Music
says:
"Selling
1.5
lakh
audio
CDs
and
cassettes
is
not
an
ordinary
thing.
On
the
very
first
day
itself,
the
CDs
will
be
delivered
to
all
its
buyers.
The
district
secretaries
of
Captain
Vijayakanth's
DMDK
are
gearing
up
for
the
event
as
if
it
is
a
party
function.
The
office
bearers
of
the
party
have
booked
one
lakh
CDs
for
the
event.
Apart
from
these,
50
thousands
CDs
will
be
distributed
to
stalls.
Also
for
the
first
time,
the
functions
held
in
all
districts
will
also
mark
the
launch
of
many
welfare
schemes.
Orders
have
been
received
even
from
Andaman
Nicobar
islands
for
350
CDs.
This
is
the
first
time
such
orders
coming
from
the
island."
