Arya in the periodic film Madharas Pattinam

After having signed Naan Kadavul, Arya had closed all his doors and concentrated only on this epic attempt by Bala.

Now the shooting of Naan Kadavul has been completed and the film is getting ready to hit the screens during Pongal 2009.

Arya is now acting in Vishnuvardhan's project Sarvam which was accepted by the actor before he had signed Naan Kadavul.

It is nearly after 2 long years that the actor has accepted a film directed by Vijay, the director of Kreedom and Poi Solla Porom.

The film is titled as Madharas Pattinam, a periodic story based on the old 'British Madras' life style in the 40's. It is said to be a love story set against the British Raj, with Arya playing the role of a Madrasi Boy who falls for the daughter of a wealthy British man!

The film is being produced by Kalpathi.S .Agoram, the producer of the super hit Santosh Subramaniyam. The Camera will be handled by Nirav Shah and music by G.V Prakash.

According to the press release, Senthil Kumar the art director of the film is trying to recreate the Madras of the 40s with trams on Mount Road, the old Central station, Moore Market, Globe Theatre etc.
