'Rajini is the Ever Shining Sun!' - Karunanidhi

Karunanidhi praised Rajini at the silver jubilee celebrations of Shivaji as The Ever Shining Sun of Indian Cinema. After presenting the shields to the crew of Shivaji including the hero of the film Rajini and director Shankar, the Chief Minister said, "Now Rajini becomes one of the universal stars. His films are not only enjoyed by our own Tamil people, but also by the other language speaking people globally."

I'm really proud to be part with most of his successful film's celebrations including this one and I would like to attend such events again and again in future too. Whenever he announces his next film, all the people have the pleasure of watching his movie at the same moment. That is the magic of our superstar Rajini.

It seems that Rajini always likes to give grandeurs like Padayappa, Chandramukhi and Shivaji. I think this is the reason behind his delay in announcing every project. But as a fan of Rajini, I request him to give more films like Shivaji in coming years.

Rajini is the true example for hard work and sincerity. Everybody knows that the man behind all success of his films is Rajini. But he never claims that and politely says that every thing comes only because of the team work. That is the magnanimity of Rajini.

As Rajini said earlier, he is keeping a little portion of his success with him and shares the remaining with others happily. What a man he is! This is the secret of his success. To reveal this secret, we need such a function. Rajini's life is like a reflecting mirror. Every one must see their image at once in this mirror to correct their life…"

The CM further said, "Poet Vairamuthu says that Rajini overtakes all the stars and flies in new high. No, I must say here that Rajini is the real Superstar. I mean the ever shining Sun of the universe. Don't understand this with any political sense. I'm saying this in the sense of what Vairamuthu trying to convey.

All these pride and fame have not come overnight to Rajini. I have gone through his life history and many articles appeared in the newspaper. Many times, I was just stunned by his eventful life. Some times, I have even wept with the sad things happened to Rajini in the past. Today, Rajini surpassed all the highs and people respect him as a great man. Some of his followers respect him like a Mahaan. But I never have faith on spiritual things. Rajini also knows this. That is why Rajini told that God loves me, even I hate spirituality. Once I attended a function organized by some priests. There, I mentioned that it is not important whether my approach is acceptable by God or not. It is important whether I must keep my self to please the God! Rajini also stresses the same thing in his style. Actually, we are not very close friends. But Rajini, the man known for his noble gesture, always comes to me with true friendship and sacred heart. It gives me immense pleasure and proud. He cares me more than my mother. He told that I'm always needed to this people. Yes, a good servant is always needs to the society. No doubt, noble men's words are always powerful and possible. Rajini's wish surely fulfilled. As a true servant, I'm always with the people"
