Isaignani
Ilayaraja,
one
of
the
greatest
and
rarest
music
directors
of
this
millennium,
turns
65
years
today.
Yes,
today
is
the
birthday
for
our
own
Isaignani,
an
authority
of
South
Indian
Film
Music.
Ilayaraja,
the
person
who
gives
a
new
dimension
to
a
movie,
has
entered
in
1976
and
started
his
career
through
the
movie
Annakkili.
Now
he
is
nearing
his
1000
film
mark,
a
rare
achievement
in
the
tinsel
world
(after
Mellisai
Mannar
MS
Viswanathan)
in
all
the
major
Indian
languages
with
4000
plus
songs.
Raja
is
the
one
and
only
Indian
Music
Director,
who
performed
a
symphony
in
London's
Royal
Bill
Harmonic
Hall
and
composed
an
Oratorio
with
using
Tamil
literature
Thiruvasagam.
Though
it
seems
that
Raja
reduced
his
work
in
films,
his
sons
Karthik
Raja
–
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
and
daughter
Bhavatharini
are
carrying
out
the
musical
tradition
of
him.
To
honour
the
maestro
rightly,
the
Chief
Minister
M
Karunanidhi
will
release
the
audio
of
Uliyin
Osai,
a
historical
dream
project
of
him
today
evening
at
Kalaivanar
Arangam.
Oneindia.in
greets
the
maestro
with
immense
proud
and
pleasure!
